The crows are fighting for nests in the tree
outside my window.
It is getting warmer in the early spring and the days have more hours with sunlight ...
Now, a month later, the crows have settled in with two more nests. They have found some
material for the nests only a few meters away some old moss and branches on a roof, and they
are so exited and happy.
We had some days with severe frost and snow! Imagine in late March... anyway, I gave the
crows some old bread while feeding the small birds in the garden. It was then, that I discovered
they don't make noicy cra-cras when they have full bellies and feel good.
It was in the beginning of April, I had just discovered, that at least one of the nests had hatced
the eggs layed in early March, when it knocked on my door.
A female employee from the Kindergarden next door, wanted me to give info about the owners
of the parked cars, as they were "gonna get rid of those crow's nests now!"
I said, no! you can't!
they have eggs and offspring! it is not possible! She replied: we have green light from
authorities! and I of course was shocked; rushing to the window, I saw the Fire Patrole.
I got my camera and went down the stairs. And saw this:

The "fire men" did not look at me, when I started photographing and they had already blasted the two
nests from one of the trees (look at the water on the tiles) when I got down there. Shaking all
over from shock and fear, I took these pictures ...

The crows were gone away. The trees were empty,
dripping from water, and the smell of birds filled
the humid air. Some of the nests was left on the
children's playground.
What a signal to send to the children!
They were kept inside, while the murders took place.
I contacted Danish Bird Organisation. I told them about what had happened and they answered
me that it most definately is an illegal act, to remove nests this time of year.
I was devastated. After a few minutes, all the crows returned to their tree. They just sat there.
Totally quiet, with heads down, staring at the branch where they had had their homes. Now
there were nothing! You can't imagine how it hurt my heart to see them. I tried to avoid
getting too upset, and went on with my own daily chores...but Baba called on me, to come and
sit with Him, and then the tears came. I cried not for the crows, but for all the stone hearted
and lost human beings who doesn't know that their every action will be imprinted on their
soul forever and ever. I cried for the emptiness in my life, now that the crows would not be
there, I loved them, and they knew me and trusted me.
They sat there for the whole night, and I lit a candle for them, untill 1 am. They were gone in
the morning. The next day, around 11 am, they gathered in another tree which is closer to my
window, and sat there looking at my windows for a while. It was their "good bye" to me! After
sitting there for awhile, completely still, looking towards my apartment windows, they all
flew away together. It was such a special thing. How I cherish this ritual they did. I will never
forget.
On the third day on the way home from shopping, I noticed that they are so sad and lost; I saw
one crow picking aimlessly in a stone chimny, some are still sitting in odd places, looking
into the thin air with nothing to do. This is their life for the whole summer: nothing to do
except picking on things in desperation.
The crow pair who had live offspring are still returning frequently to the tree, this morning
only one of them returned for a short while. It is five days after the destruction.
It is + 6 days since the destruction. I am so happy that Saint Francesco of Assissi heard my
prayer; the crows are happy again, I even saw a couple of them look for material for new nest.
They choose to fly low over my place, when they pass the house in the air.
Sometimes I have a short eye contact.
I got an answer from the Bird Protection Organization ...
they said that the employees in the kindergarden had some fears that the children might be
hit by some ekscretion from the birds.
